The Reunion and Social Committee is responsible for organizing reunions and any other social events sanctioned by the Grace King High School Alumni Association. It is made up of at least five members, with only one Alumnus Member from each graduating year. There may be as many committee members as there are graduating years, starting with the first graduating class from 1968. The idea is to have enough members to help with reunions so that the members celebrating do not have to work during their reunion. This also allows for a wide range of experience and resources.
For each reunion, a sub-committee is formed and the Reunion and Social Committee member becomes the chair of the sub-committee for that class reunion. The sub-committee or reunion committee is responsible for getting input from class members and making decisions about the details of the reunion.
It is our goal to run all future reunions through the Association. This way, when contracts are signed and money is invested into a reunion, the Association can bear the responsibility and not an individual. This also allows us to reinvest any profits from the reunion back into the Association, scholarships and the school.
