First Scholarship Awarded to Ashley Melissa Manzur

The Romig Family  presented the first GKHSAA Christian Romig Community Service Scholarship, funded in part by the Romig family. It was also awarded at the Grace King High School Awards Ceremony on May 6, 2011.  Nominees must have been nominated by a faculty member and have participated in community service projects and civic involvement throughout their high school career. The recipient received a $500 scholarship awarded towards a four-year college or university, community college, trade school, military service, Peace Corp or AmeriCorps.

The Class of 2011 nominees were: Georgette Lee Aldrette, Connie Chau, Brittney Marie Chism, Ashley Melissa Manzur, Kayla Therese Martin, Thania Maria Vega. Congratulations to Ashley Melissa Manzur, this year’s winner of the GKHSAA Christian Romig Community Service Scholarship.
